Details: Join EarthCorps and the Green Seattle Partnership and Seattle Parks and Recreation as we work together to keep Ravenna Park healthy! You may have driven right over Ravenna Park and the natural area ravine and never realized that it was there! Hidden in a ravine that stretches under 15th Ave E, lies 50 acres of park complete with a gorgeous creek and tons of tall, tall trees. Ravenna Park has been in use as a park since the 1880s when visitors paid 25 cents to marvel at the giant Douglas fir that called the park home. These days, we are working to preserve this hidden oasis. Invasive plants like English ivy are threatening to overtake the trees and other native plants in the park. Our projects will include invasive plant removal and preparation of planting sites. Come help us keep Ravenna Parks' Ravine beautiful!
